Real estate is my passion. When I was young I watched my parents earn their living as bank employees. My dad's banking career included completing mortgage applications as well as having the not-so-fun duty of handling foreclosures. As I got older I watched my dad study to get his appraisal certification. After high school I worked in an appraisal office in Abbotsford and typed up appraisals. Later, I moved to Burnaby and attended BCIT where I earned my diploma in Financial Management.

In 2005 the topic of real estate investing came into my life and I purchased my first rental property in 2006 – a half duplex in northern Alberta – and ended up buying 5 more properties with friends and family over a few years. In 2007 I started my own bookkeeping business and decided to focus on specializing in rental property bookkeeping. Evidently, I was hooked!

I had heard about the Smith Manoeuvre many years ago but was re-introduced to it in 2020 when I attended an online Real Estate Investing meeting that featured Robinson Smith discussing the Smith Manoeuvre. I got a copy of his book and found the accelerators to be very powerful tools, especially the Cash Flow Dam when using it with rental properties.

In 2024 I decided to expand my knowledge and studied for my mortgage broker license. Once I received my license I joined Dominion Lending Centres as an Independent Broker.

I am excited to help my clients achieve their financial goals using the power of real estate.
